Parks and green space are our natural health service; they can be used as children’s outdoor classrooms, community meeting spaces as well as the setting for practical green tasks. They allow local people to connect with their neighbourhoods and each other and we need them more than ever.
Greenspace Scotland has produced some great free resources under the banner “Better Outside”. They offer a comprehensive downloadable guide, articles and case studies. The resources look at how we can take indoor activities outside and give real-life examples. From a meeting space in a teepee and community gardens through to pop-up youth drop-ins, there’s plenty to inspire and inform.
